This two-hour evening workshop will provide an orientation to the Rights of Nature movement and the spread of river rights and river charters across the world, including in the UK.

Join in participatory exercises on how to develop a local river charter. Learn about the role of river guardians and how these can make a difference in your locality.

This workshop will be led by Josh Levene, a coordinator of the River Rights Network as part of the ‘Rivers of Hope’ project – what a great fit for our local River Hope movement! Josh is also a director of Love Our Ouse in Lewes, Sussex, and helped develop the first Charter of Rights for a UK river to be recognised and supported by a council.

NOTE: Tickets (free of charge) will be offered in two phases: first to Town, District, and nearby Parish and County Councillors, and then to the wider public if the full capacity (30) has not been reached. So please come back here for an update and, if places are available, the TicketSource registration link from Friday 20 February.

We are grateful to Stratford Town Trust for the funding award allowing us to bring this innovative Nature-centric practice to South Warwickshire.
