This is an invitation to support the organisation of a community River Hope Film Festival to see water differently. We are planning to screen a variety of films about water, rivers and their biodiverse ecosystems in local venues across Stratford-on-Avon District.
When: 20 – 28 September 2025, marking World Rivers Day (28 September)
Where: in towns and village venues across Stratford-on-Avon District
Why hold this film festival?
- Provide a new and unique opportunity for local residents and visitors to see curated films from around the world on different aspects of water, the water cycle, water bodies, river catchments and the biodiversity in our water ecosystems.
- For some screenings, engage in dialogue with water experts, activists, filmmakers and others in Question and Answer sessions.
- Participants will be inspired by new Insights and perspectives and learn practical approaches to tackle the issues raised: hope comes with action.
What are we looking for?
- Sponsorship and funds for venue hire, screening rights, promotion, expenses for guest speakers
- In-kind practical contributions such as guidance on organisation, finding venues and communications.
- Help to build momentum from the River Hope soft launch during Great Big Green Week in June 2025.
Why support this Film Festival?
- Show leadership in, and support for, issues that concern many people and who also want to find out how to get involved in actions for positive change.
- Benefit from both local and wider publicity.
- Fulfil your biodiversity duties or corporate social responsibility.
